XLWEB launch new Webmail Hosting System
XLWEB’s new Webmail is even easier to use, is faster to display messages and works in a wide range of web browsers with many advanced features.
Webmail comes with every hosting package that XLWEB offer and provides a great way to access your emails anywhere in the world, at any internet connected PC. Of course, you can also use your favourite email software such as Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird on your PC to access to your emails.
Some of the great new features include:
New Folder System
Create as many folders as you need to easily store and organise your mail. You can now store up to 100 MB of email.
Organise Yourself - New Calendar Feature
Our new Calendar feature allows you to manage your appointments or tasks on a daily, quarterly, annual basis.
Outlook-to-Webmail
Synchronized Microsoft Outlook with your Webmail account so that contacts and scheduler data can be shared between a desktop PC and Webmail client. If you add a new appointment or contact while using Outlook or Webmail, the data will be automatically synchronised between the Webmail and Outlook.
Enhanced Address Book
Import and export contacts from/to CSV (comma separated values) file format with our enhanced address book functionality. You can also sync your Webmail account with your existing address books.
Spell Checker
The built-in spell checker allows you to ensure there’s no typo’s before sending that all important email.
Mailbox Sorting & Searching
You can search and sort your inbox messages by subject, date, or email address. You can also search by keyword(s), giving you quick retrieval of those elusive messages!
Rich HTML Messages
Create fantastically-rich emails using different fonts and colours or by embedding pictures and sounds. You can also add your logo or a customised signature. You can also easily attach most types of files to your emails - just remember to attach them before you hit the send button (how many times do we all do that!)
Email Filters
Create rules to move specific messages or block unwanted senders altogether.
The Webmail system has also involved installing a new hardware platform for the Webmail system to operate on. This uses state-of-the-art hardware load balancers to distribute traffic to our to our Webmail servers. All of your messages are centrally stored on an array of giant disks and backed up each day, first to another set of disks. and then to tape which is stored offsite - you’re in good hands with XLWEB.
