Are Twitter’s days numbered?

So. What’s the deal about this Twitter? Another fly by night tool for the marketing genius or bored teen/executive/people who should really be doing other stuff?

It’s the way forward for blogging and letting your friends know what you’re up to - really because tweets (messages) are limited to 140 characters (including spaces) and you get funny stuff in short sentences plus you don’t have to read people banging on.

Social networking has never seen the likes. However, how long can it be sustained? Forever? 3 or 4 years? Another year? Whether it grows and stays with us, or whether it dies soon (possibly because there’s so many people twittering that, no matter how many servers they have, it’ll just grind to a halt!?) And I’ve experienced it at least, em twice, but enough to bug me. And who’se gonna pay for the servers and infrastructure these days?

Twitter on dudes, but it won’t last forever!
